Service Dispatcher
Position Overview
The Service Dispatcher plays a key role in supporting our technicians and customers by coordinating service calls, managing schedules, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction
- Answer incoming calls from customers, technicians, and office staff
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally
- Keep customers informed on job status and scheduling updates
Scheduling & Dispatch
- Schedule service calls, maintenance, and startups
- Efficiently route technicians using active dispatch methods
- Monitor technician progress throughout the day
Technician Support
- Communicate job details and updates to technicians
- Order, track, and receive parts
- Follow up on jobs, return visits, and completion status
Systems & Administration
- Set up new customers and jobs correctly in dispatch software
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and daily logs
- Monitor emails and follow up on action items
- Communicate operational updates to department managers
Essential Skills
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Customer service or dispatch/coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with dispatch software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of local service areas
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and work independently or as part of a team
HVAC Service Technician (Residential & Commercial)
Position Overview
Heinz HVAC & Plumbing is seeking experienced, motivated HVAC Service and Install Technicians to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems. Successful candidates are customer-focused and take pride in building long-term relationships.
We are a locally owned, family business in Vincennes, Indiana, proudly serving the tri-state area for over 100 years.

Position Requirements
- 3+ years of HVAC experience preferred
- Professional communication with customers and coworkers
- Ability to document work accurately using mobile software
What You’ll Do
Installation
- Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, heat pumps, RTUs, and ductless systems
- Read blueprints, schematics, and work plans
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Maintenance
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Inspect and test system components
- Identify and document potential issues
Repair & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical system issues
- Repair or replace defective components
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency repairs
- Use diagnostic tools (manifold gauges, multimeters, CO testers)
Customer Service & Documentation
- Explain repairs and options to customers
- Recommend system upgrades for efficiency
- Maintain detailed service records in mobile software
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical positions
Service Plumber (Residential & Commercial)
